FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EFI University Introduces an Engine Tuner's Certificate Program

Murrieta, California, April 27, 2006- EFI University today announced the release of their new Engine Tuner's Certificate Program. This is the first program of its kind, designed to help shop owners increase their credibility and to give customers a benchmark to compare engine tuning shops against.

EFI's program provides a step by step process for becoming certified to tune any high performance engine using Electronic Fuel Injection. The certificate program is modeled after the ASE Certificate Program for automotive professionals.

Students will begin with a series of classes, starting with the basics until advancing through more hands-on training. Students are then eligible to build up experience in the field and gain practical knowledge through real life situations.
Throughout the program students will record their experience in their personal EFI University log book before they can qualify to take a written exam .

The order of events for one to gain certification are as follows:

  • Attend EFI 101
  • Successfully complete EFI Advanced course
  • Accumulate a minimum of twenty hours of actual dyno time with EFI
  • Pass an online written exam

Having the Official EFI University High Performance Tuner's Certification also qualifies the student for discounts available on future advanced level classes.

EFI will be continuously adding additional advanced level courses to deal with each tuning application separately.

EFI currently has plans in place to build "add-on modules" which can be taken individually for subjects such as:

  • Differences between OEM and Aftermarket ECU Tuning Procedures
  • Advanced Tuning for cold start, warm-up and idle control
  • Plasma Ignition Systems and Ion Sensing Knock detection
  • In-Cylinder Pressure Analysis
  • Understanding Compensation Tables
  • Electronic Sensor testing and Calibration for ECU setup

Visit www.efi101.com for more information on the certification program.
